Literary connection: Lois Lowry’s The Giver

Simply stated, technology refers to the tools that we use to make our lives easier. Is is possible, however, that many of our technological innovations are having a negative impact? How might people and nature be at risk because of some of today’s technology?

I love free write Fridays because you can write what’s on your mind. My free writing is about what I am going to do this weekend. First, when I get home, I’m going to the park because it no use waiting on my sister to come. She stays in Stone Mountain. When, she does come, we are going shopping for some shoes, earring, cloths and more.
After, that my sister, mom, brother, sister in law, nephew and me are going out to eat. Then, my sister and I are going to spend time with my nephew. We really don’t get to see him a lot because he is with his dad and mom.
On Sunday it is my brother’s birthday so we are having a cookout for him. We are eating some: ribs, mac and cheese, rice and more. This is going to be a fun weekend. I hope you liked it. That’s my free writing Friday.

I say yes and no.Yes, because we are so used to the Internet that we don’t use the textbooks that much anymore. No because some people are not influenced that much by the technology.

      Here is the prompt:

Simply stated, technology refers to the tools that we use to make our lives easier. Is is possible, however, that many of our technological innovations are having a negative impact? How might people and nature be at risk because of some of today’s technology?

Did you address the prompt, Beingmi99? Are any innovations risk-free? Although some people may live in societies where technology is not as widespread as it is here, are they really not affected or are they affected to a lesser degree? I need some elaboration. You may want to consider doing a little research on this one to support your argument.
