Newton, Connecticut: Finding Solace When Peace is Shattered

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Retrieved from “Go Left” via Facebook

This past week, as many of us looked forward to the winter holiday with family and friends, we found ourselves grieving with the families and residents of Newtown, Connecticut. The horror of this tragedy has been pervasive in my mind. While I still grapple with putting my feelings in print, I would like to invite you to offer your thoughts, condolences, or wishes to those who are dealing with this reality moment by moment. Thank you.

What happened to the kids in Newton, Connecticut makes me wonder. Those kids were very small and didn’t really know much they barely knew their selves. Where can the teachers hide the kids at Brown Middle School. All the kids did was go to school, now they won’t be coming back home. You will be missed.

This was a tragic time in Connecticut when I heard about the shooting in Sandy Hook Elementary. There were about 20 innocent children who lost their lives or seen their teacher lose their lives for the children. I know how most of you families fell about your loved ones because if it was me I would be in so much Paine I would not want to do anything without my child being around. I just wanted you all to know god let this situation happen for a reason and your child will always be remembered in my heart like family of my own R.I.P.

I think it was sad that he killed all them kids . They had familys to go to he really didn’t have to do that because they had family to go to and a christmas to have. They was so young they didn’t know no better. They was only six and seven.

Isn’t it sad how you see your kids in the morning but don’t see them in the afternoon? It’s sad how 5 – 10 years olds got killed. They were so innocent; they will never be a teenager, they will never make it to their senior graduation. Just imagine how their family feels. The parents probably had Christmas or Hanukah gifts and didn’t get to see the smiles on those beautiful kids face. This is so sad. You kids will be missed!

I think this is very sad for the guardians of these kids. There was no reason for that boy to do what he has done, if it was a reason it wasn’t a good one. To be honest, i think that school she be resigned. They can’t even celebrate christmas with there loved ones. They were just innocent, sweet, and young. They haven’t experience what life is really is. They were only 6 or 7 years old and they can’t even go on with life. There are 20 angels on top of us.

What i think about this was sad because i bet that the parents were looking forward to the holidays with there children but now they can’t, I bet they couldn’t wait for there children to open there presents on christmas day. I am truly sorry for the parents who lost there children at Sandy Hook Elementary.

This was a vewry sad thing. It was friday when we go to school and i didnt know anything about it and i came to school and everybody was sad and i was the only happy one. I know something had to happen for somebody for EVERYBODY at school to be sad. So as soon as i got into the class room my favorite teacher , ms jackson , had little stips. And when we were done getting settled , we had the names of every single person who died that day. And i had emilie parker and i remeber that because i really wasnt sad at the time untill Ms. Jackson said what if that was your little cusin or niece and it mad me cry cause that was just so sad and i will remeber that day.

How i felt about them children dying in connecticut, is very sad to me because i feel like the man that did it didnt have areason to do it. all the people that died shouldnt never died. The children couldnt even get to see christmas day the couldnt open their presents or spend time with their loved ones. The teacher that took up for the children is a real hero becaue she took up for those children and lied to them. The parents of those children cant even live happily with their lives because everytime they think about it they will sink in there tears and wont have nothig to really cheer them this is very terrifiying to see these childrens die cause this couldnt been us so we think lord that it wasent and keep these people in our prayers!!!!!!!!!
