I think it is imp.beacuse what if the person you are trying to work for and he/she sayes you have to have this degree and he/she have a diffrent one then that person would have to go back to college and get that degree.then, when he/she get it the he could do it and he/she would be happy with its career.

The most profound idea that I got from Mr. London was motivation to do good in school. The most profound idea that I got from Ms.M was that it takes seven years to get through Law school.

I think that these statements are right because now it proves that now in order to get a good job you have to have to get your right degree and its only 60% of people that is going to have those good jobs and only 40% will be the ones who work at the McDonalds and bus drivers and small jobs like that and also college is the most important thing now because it determines weather you are going to be a part of the 40% or the 60%.

What I think of these statements is that this information could be true and your degree is important in life and if you don’t have your degree you cant get a job in 2020.

  5. January 31st, 2013 at 9:24 AM      Reply poohbear13 Says:

I believe it is true because high school is after middle school, and after high school, you are off to college. If you don’t have a disciplined mind to know when to have fun and when to study, then you will be the next dropout as soon as you hit 16 years old!

  6. January 31st, 2013 at 9:25 AM      Reply Genelle Watts Says:

A career path that I’m taking is that I am going finish high school. Then I am going to wait and party and have fun, then go to college. The college I’m going to is Clark Atlanta University. When I graduate from there I’m going to medical school and up from there. That is the career path I am going to take when I grow up.

  7. January 31st, 2013 at 9:26 AM      Reply Madyson Garrett Says:

I agree on the statement because the governor is actually telling the truth. College degrees are the most important thing for high-schoolers because when they graduate collage they are going toi be looking for the job that they are best at.

  8. January 31st, 2013 at 9:27 AM      Reply shenelle mccrary Says:

I think this statement is right because first you would need to a degree to get a job first and the government is right because the group of high school people that 60 percent of workforce will need post graduate degree and that college is more important than everything now that is right cause you need a degree.

My considering as a career path is a Fashion Designer. My need to do to attain this goal is go to school to get what I need to become a fashion Designer like Math, reading and ELA. Also when I not in school I can learn how to sew. Then when college come I well get all my dergess and go to fashion college. When I I’m done ,I well become a amaze Fashion Designer.

  10. January 31st, 2013 at 9:30 AM      Reply LOVE SOSA Says:

I think this statement is false that 2020 sixty percent of the workforce will need post-graduate degrees. Because, not many people will be able to get post-graduate degrees. Everyday many kids are dropping out of school and when 2020 gets here many of them jobs won’t be filled up. But ,if this statement is true ,we will have more pizza mans!

  11. January 31st, 2013 at 9:31 AM      Reply Autreyahna Says:

I think that sixty percent should have a post-graduate degree so they can know what they are doing. Governor Nathan was right to tell the high schoolers because as long as they have a degree they can get somewhere in life.

  12. January 31st, 2013 at 10:00 AM      Reply Tyquasha Says:

In my prospective I think these statements means that always do the right thing and make your infinitesimal things count. These days your post-graduate degrees are very important if you want to get a job and if you make the wrong decision like if you drop out high school or even went to prison you will have to start from the bottom and get your G.E.D. Now people G.E.D are very high some cost about 300 dollars or more so that is why I agree with these statements.

  13. January 31st, 2013 at 12:01 PM      Reply prettytwiggy123 Says:

I think that everyone should at least go to college for two years I don’t think having a college degree is really that necessary , So I somewhat agree with Governor Deal.

  14. January 31st, 2013 at 12:02 PM      Reply jasmine Says:

One thing I found important on Career Day was that Mr. London said we need to know how to read, write, and know how to do math, and it take hard work to get where we want to get to.

  15. January 31st, 2013 at 12:05 PM      Reply Sharron Ridley Says:

I disagree because everybody is not capable of going to college or getting a Scholarship to go. Some people just go to college to get a degree and don’t want a career in they life.

  16. January 31st, 2013 at 12:08 PM      Reply babdee Says:

Well, I do not think everyone should not have a post degree because everyone is not able to pay for college. But the can go to community and the will still get the same degrees.

  17. January 31st, 2013 at 12:10 PM      Reply Jamya Davis Says:

What I suggest that by 2020 sixty percent of workforce need a graduate degree because you need an education but without an education you have job and will not know how to read a book an some people need a graduate degree for lot of things like a job they will ask you do you have a graduate degree and if you don’t have a degree you will not get a job.

  18. January 31st, 2013 at 12:12 PM      Reply ayanna Says:

I do believe that Governor Nathan Deal made the right decision to go ahead and tell high school children that it is very important than ever that you should get a college degree. Every high school child deserves a college degree, so that when you start to go into the workforce that’s only if you do you can have the words degree on your application

  20. January 31st, 2013 at 12:16 PM      Reply Jasmine Says:

I thing it is some thing you get into college but if you want to go college you have to get your master degree and then you will get your post graduate degree.

  21. January 31st, 2013 at 12:18 PM      Reply Brittini Brown Says:

I agree with Governor Nathan Deal because I think that he is right about the college degree being more important now than ever because there are more homeless people in the world today so you can imagine how many people can be homeless by 2020. I also think that Governor Deal is right because if you don’t have an education you can’t get a high school degree or a job.

I suggest by 2020 that people should have a degree because without an education they will not have a job to take care of there selves. Like when people ask you for a high school degree and if you don’t have one you cant get in.

  25. January 31st, 2013 at 1:56 PM      Reply keishona Says:

I agree with this statements because some people in this world need a job and they don’t have one because they have no education. Without a education you can`t get nowhere in life. I say this because now and days you see more black people in jail than white people. Research says that 10% of your kids would not graduate from high school and collage.

I agree with Governor Nathan Deal because now when you don’t have an education you don’t get a job because you don’t have an degree so you’ll be better off working at McDonald’s with a low pay check that can’t pay your bills.

College and career week was fun because different people came to see us and I had fun learning about different people. The vistors who came to see us inspired the people who wanted to do it. Some people was changing there mind about not having a career instead of not being nothing. They taught us to get an education

  30. January 31st, 2013 at 2:04 PM      Reply Briana Floyd Says:

I think that by 2020 60% of people will need a post graduate degree because people are seeing that more and more students are dropping out each day so they are trying to make it harder for people to get jobs, and the 40% of people that aren’t asked to show a post graduate degree are going to be the people that we need to work on things around us, in other words their going to be the drop out students.

Career day here at brown middle schoool was a great day !One thing I learneed was thet you must get an education in orderto get you a job when you grow up. I also learned the difference a career, I mainly want ot focus on my career and someday I will reach my special career to become an Registered Nurse for my community and family. Ichose this career because I do not want to be apart of the drop out rate here in america, I still will focus on a job to make extra money.

I say no because you really can’t predict what’s gonna happen. I say yes cause Gov. Nathan Deal is right about a college degree being important know.

I say no because some people need a job and then I say yes because everyone need school for a better job. But some people want to go to school to open their own business and to be independence.

I disagree, because they need people like trash men and stuff. Plus some people don’t want to go to school and graduate, they still need money to get their life together.

What i learned about career day is one my career persons said that if you dont star learning now you will not make it when you grow up as an adult becuase you dont got those skills and knowledge to have a successful career. and thats what i learned about career day.

College & Career week was nice and fun. They told us their career and they also told us how they got to the levels of being successful.
The best speaker to me was Mrs.Montgomery she told us that we dont have to be an ADULT to follow our dreams and start working. She also told us have to get started. I LOVE CAREER WEEK!!!!!!!!

  38. January 31st, 2013 at 2:44 PM      Reply Unknown Says:

I disagree, because majority of us won’t even graduate from high school,so forget about college. If it turns out to be the truth whoever strives for the jobs that requires a degree will do what it takes.

  39. January 31st, 2013 at 2:46 PM      Reply Engl!shhh Says:

What I think about this statement is that I disagree with it because most people aren’t book-smart. Having to go to college for a year is alright, but going 2, 3 or more is too much.

  40. January 31st, 2013 at 3:33 PM      Reply patricia Says:

I agree because people want to graduate and go to college. sometimes people dnt want to grow up and be a poor person because they didnt finish school but in these days people are now choosing to not finish school.

A college degree is important because you may need that in the future. College is an important. It help set ourand your future to go bright. A college degree can help you get your caree and help you sky rocket to the top with your career or what ever you want.

  43. February 6th, 2013 at 3:42 PM      Reply Tameesha Says:

I want to be a nurse. I want to be a nurse because I had a good experience with taking care of people and helping people. I think being a nurse is kind of easy because I seen my grandma and mom take care of children and even adults. But I want to take care of baby’s because some of them are easy to care for and I love babies. That’s what I wanted to be. I’ve been expired by my family because of their kids I took care of when they were there. I like to become a good child caregiver.
