I am from a family, who is talented and smart.
I come from hard work pays off
because if you try you can never go wrong,
because giving up is never an option.
Believing is the key.
I say, go big or go home. I’m from you can do anything
From never let anybody say that you cannot do something.
I’m from know hardest working people
They try and they never give up.
Where I come from being popular doesn’t matter
What matters most is how much you know.
No one can take that away from you.
And this is where I am from

Where I’m from….
I’m from staying in the house on the phone all night
I’m from drinking sweet tea with a little lemon
I’m from going to the candy lady and buying freeze cups
I’m from long flowing hair and positive compliments on how I look
I’m from a lawyer and someone who takes care of us
I’m from whatever goes on in this house stays in house
I’m from yelling and screaming about his or her house being clean
I’m from kids parties and grown up parties in the room while they are playing spades
I’m from friends and family calling out “Nookie”
I’m from going shopping every month and people telling me never give up
Follow yours dreams

I’m from being raised in Atlanta,
I’m from being born in the country,
I’m from helping nana cook,
I’m from a smart family,
I’m from a small town,
I’m from playing with my family and friends,
I’m from fighting the kids on the street,
I’m from helping my family fight.
THIS IS WHERE I’M FROM!!!!!
I am from a loud mouth family that thinks that they know it all.
Even when they don’t.
I am from a nice clean-fabric smelling house.
I am from a house that if you want to eat than you better know know your grace.
I am from some messy, but nice apartments.
I am from a mother that always wants to dance in public.
I am from a ghetto greedy class.
I am from a house that when you walk in you will smell collards,
cornbread, macaroni, turkey wings, and fatback meat and
that’ where I’m from.
Where I am From
I am from a house that smells of coffee,
from a room that opens to the color purple
and from a household of ten, sometimes eleven when my sister comes home.
I am from the sound of the loud highways when we travel for eight hours to Disney every year.
I am from red roses in the garden, from hardcore play, with scratches, and bruises of all sorts.
I am from a home of embarrassing nicknames, Lucy, Mikey, and Punchee.
That’s where I’m from.
I am from a house of no fear, a place with Hot Sauce on everything.
I am from a tree for a switch, and a hanger for a belt.
I am from old school.
I am from the words ” I Love You”,
from the house of “The Three Stooges”.
Mackenzie, Michael, and me.
That’s where I am from.
From being bathed in the kitchen sink until you finally turn three then getting yo’ butt in the tub.
I am from aisle twelve in home depot, the store that rudely replaced my hospital.
I am from gospel music in the background.
From the big red house on Orlando Place.
I am from a grandma that loves to help,
a mother that loves to hug,
a dad that’s full of fun,
an aunt that loves to teach,
two sisters that drive me crazy,
two brothers that loves to wrestle, 35 crazy cousins,
most importantly, I am from a family that loves me so.
That’s where I am from.
Where I’m From
I’m from that country-talking, good-cooked soul food every Sunday.
I’m from that if you snitch you get stitches.
Yeah that’s where I’m from
From that light skin, long hair, don’t care.
Where I roll with the punches and make sure I come back up on my two feet.
I’m from being conceived at 15 and my daddy selling dope all through his childhood.
I come from not having any of my family’s last names, but from a man I don’t
Even know that signed on my birth certificate.
Yeah that’s were I’m from.
